You will start a career where everyday is the same and different at the same time. The EMT Program is the beginning level on the Emergency Medical Services (EMT) ladder. EMTs receive training in basic life support measures, including patient assessment, cardiac arrest skills, oxygen therapy, shock prevention, bandaging, splinting, spinal immobilization, and vehicle extraction.

一道本不卡免费高清The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course is twelve (12) credit hours. The EMT program is a one semester program offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. All classes are held at the North Bay Campus in Southport. The EMT courses are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the Fall and Spring semesters lecture is on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:45 pm - 9:45 p.m. CST. Lab is on Tuesdays with occasional Saturday classes. Students will be placed in one of two labs, 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm or 5:45 pm - 9:45 pm. CST. During the Summer semester lecture is on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. CST. Lab is on Tuesdays with occasional Saturday classes. Students will be placed in one of two labs, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. CST. Students will have to attend two (2) days of EVOC and Trauma Management classes held on Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays during the semester. An Associate of Science Degree in Emergency Medical Services is also available. This option expands the EMT Program to 73 credit hours, which includes the general education courses. The application deadline for the EMT program is as follows: Fall semester is the 3rd Friday in May, Spring semester is the 3rd Friday in October, and Summer semester is the 3rd Friday in February.
